Hi Brian. I see your point, since there is no way the saving interest can catch up with the rising cost of living. But I don't spend much, so it doesn't hurt me that much. For me the bottomline is that I will spend what I have in my pocket and spend what I can spend.

The concept of savings is already an outdated concept. Given the low interest rate in the bank, putting all the money into the bank only makes you poorer each day because your bank's interest rates can never beat inflation.

The rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer because the poor works hard for money whereas the rich makes money work hard for them.

The way to a better retirement is to INVEST early while you are young...
