ikea lights

The two items I like a lot in my room are my ceiling lamp and my table lamp, both from Ikea. Fine, call me a fanboy.


Lightings is an indispensable part of the house. Many people think of Balestier area when they think of buying lights, which I agree that there are many choices along the road. However I don't really find it worth it to spend a bomb (ok, exaggeration) on a so-so looking ceiling lamp. I chose the Foto N from Ikea which I had laid my eyes on for a long time. (wanted the gigantic one but think it will look ugly in my tiny room) Like the shiny aluminium and "factory" feel. My work table lamp was another headache since I had a real estate problem, but I didn't hesitate when I saw the Tertial N work lamp at Ikea, another metallic piece taking up a mere 45mm x 45mm on my table top. Cost about S$50 altogether.

Actually if we look around when outside, we may discover many shops and cafes are using lights from Ikea. Think I saw pasar malam stalls with dozens of the same Tertial N lamp used as spot lights.
