stupid cash deposit machine

Yesterday I went to use the Cash Deposit Machine at Yusof Ishak House.

By right, you can insert "any combination of S$10, S$50 and S$100 in cash slot" but "Please straighten your notes and do not insert crumpled or folded notes, or more than 100 bills per deposit" (© 2007 DBS Bank Ltd)

But somehow I only inserted 10 pieces of the same value notes, and the machine rejected my moola. In the end I had to insert one piece at a time, which was pretty dumb.

Do I have to iron my notes straight?

(oh and the machine peeled my ATM card's skin off. Urgh!)

yeah the deposit machines there are really lousy.

i also had to deposit one piece by one piece. i'm never going to deposit my money there again...

fab: cos got project meeting at that time, so have to change to attend the Thursday lecture. Sad.

yuankang: that brings another point, can the machine accept the plastic notes? They say ATM cannot issue plastic notes cos they stick together.
