dragonair a330 engine caught fire

On Sunday, a Dragonair Airbus A330’s left engine caught fire, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing back to Beijing. Smoke filled the cabin and oxygen masks were deployed. Passengers reported hearing loud bangs and burning smell.
According to Dragonair, the shutdown of the engine was caused by “partial separation of a blade on the engine fan”. See the scratch mark?
I believe it was running on 2 Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines.
Sigh…
Still want to be aerospace engineer?

Why not?
