sold but available

I was hunting for used textbook in the IVLE forum.

One by one, I SMSed the sellers that I'm interested in, I mean the item that I'm interested in. Some of the replies were one-word: sold.

Maybe it didn't occur to the sellers, but I thought it would be nice if their posted items were sold, they could have gone back to the forum entry and edit it by adding the four letter S-word. Some nice sellers actually even added the word "reserved" while waiting for the actual transaction to take place.

It sounds like, you are attached or married already, but you still list your name in matchmaking services. Fine, maybe some people do want that.

Why waste everyone's time, effort and... feelings? I thought I could find a good deal.

  • Same here man...I expected this kinda of thing to happen so I call them up and inquire instead. Just like you, I bumped onto several irresponsible seller who refuse to remove their posting or declare their item sold, despite it has sold. *beep* them!

  • dunno leh, I think it might be because it's troublesome to edit coz have to search thru the entire list to find your name if you can't remem e date and time. if we search then we can't edit it anyway right? or can we? which reminds me i have to send an email to IVLE to feedback to them about this search-but-unable-to-edit function.

  • relax, swave!

tstar: as far as I know, can search and edit. Maybe that's the previous version of ivle?

not say they are wrong when they don't edit it, just, things can be better =)
