Watched this Japanese movie a while ago (during exam period -_-")It's humour + motivation + music all in one movie~ It is rare to see motivational movie nowadays...

The story is about a group of high school girls who had to attend maths remedial during summer holiday. Somehow they were responsible for the food poisoning of the whole school brass band, so they had to stand in for the band to cheer for the school baseball team. At first they were half-hearted, but the moment they got in love with music, the school band returned... a few of the girls still stick together to play gig around the town, and they even formed a big band playing jazz in an inter school band competition.

Most of the funny scenes came from that plump girl who later became the drummer of the group. At the beginning she was seen eating packets of snacks and using those belly slimming belt at the same time in the class room. Then another scene she fell down from a tree and her butt cracked the skull of a wild pig.. =_=

Seriously you should watch this movie.

Back to the topic of *ahem*. This time round I have the chance to exercise my citizen's right! Hmm... it feels like watching Rambo ramming his tank into a helicopter =P Anyway I'm in a dilemma now, am I supposed to choose a person, a party, or a government? Though they are connected, but they mean different things when making a choice.

After months of abstaining from climbing, I'm back to the wall! It has been raining heavily these few days and it was super sunny this morning, so much so that you could get burned by walking barefooted, or just by your fingers touching the hot handholds. I got lobsterised...

Climbed with Nicholl, Ying Huei, Nicholl's cousin and Nich's 2 friends. Meder was happily climbing in another part of the planet (... Malaysia...) while Alex... hmm.. well... alcohol got him. Nicholl knew I'll complain here about her, so let's just say that she was being frank when she made unpleasant/unfair/unreasonable remarks. What to do, adults like to bully kids.

Didn't manage to clear any routes at all, what do you expect when fingers couldn't even hang on to a jug... JUG! But I've been thinking... it's like life, the tiles can't be all so positive and friendly to you, there must be hindrance/obstacles along the way. It is up to you to decide whether to go head on in your present condition (futilely) or to give up momentarily and come back another time, or even avoid it. Sounds like a quitter, but isn't it more foolish to waste your last joule or energy over things that you know you can't accomplish? (then you won't even have energy to crawl home)

Another thing that I learned: only I can take care of my own belongings.(although I handle other people's belongings more carefully than my own) Felt like someone had stabbed my heart when my ATC and carabiner was tossed onto the concrete...

My mother just bought this cute little bottle of Nescafe. So the excited me couldn't wait to make myself a nice cuppa....

computers are evil

I tell you computers are evil.

Read a newspaper article today that says kids who play too much computer games (pointing at myself) will have poor interpersonal relation skills. That is very true. Reminds me of my days involved in email wars, when the enemy was just seated next to my table in the office... (and she would counterattack via emails, click send, then turn around and quarrel verbally. Waste saliva huh?)

AND, the temptation is just too big. For example, I'm blogging now when I am not making much progress in my revision. (for your info I just completed a game within the last 3 days.)

My first paper starts this Saturday. Can someone please pass me a sledgehammer?

Last Friday we had lunch at Pizza Hut @ Jurong Point for my brother's birthday.
At 12:19 we placed our order: 01x Spanish Seafood Pan Pizza, 01x Greek Moussaka, 01x Casablanca Spin Roll, 03x warm water.

At 12:45, we asked a waitress for the water. Hello? How long does it take to pour warm water? Must boil and distill how many times?

At 12:50, we asked a waitress to check the status of the food. No response.

At 13:00, we asked another waitress to check our order. She got back to us saying that all our orders need to be oven-baked, that's why will take a while.

At 13:05, the table next to us, who only came in like less than 5 minutes ago, had their pizza served. I doubt they had even warmed up their seats. Don't tell me their pizza was microwaved and not oven-baked.

At 13:13, we asked for the manager.

At 13:15, after dilly-dally, taking cover, flirting, the manager finally came to our table. Panic after my brother and I gave him a piSS of our minds.

... (the eating time definitely took less than the 45minutes waiting time)

At 13:50, we asked for the bill. No bill. (someone killed Bill)

At 14:00, we asked for the bill again. This time round the waitress just grab it off from the cashier counter (ie, it was printed long ago..)

You know what a good restaurant would have done? It would have served you complimentary side dishes while you are waiting, and give you either a discount or a voucher.

If there is S/U option, I won't hestitate to give Pizza Hut a Unsatisfactory grade. (then next semester must retake the module =_=)

Argh~! That's the pudding dog I've been eyeing on since Chinese New Year! Yes... you heard me, Chinese New Year, and it is still on sale at Shop N Save. So.... now you know what NOT to do huh?

I read that it is not that nice to eat, and it is a traumatizing experience to decapitate a puppy..

Parents really influence the kids.

I was at Cold Storage (yes... super market..), saw this family of 4. The kid knocked down a bottle of mayo, it landed perfectly mixing a nice salad of glass fragments + mayonnaise. I must say the family disappeared fast (were they ninjas? yes they were caucasians. Oh Incredibles) I could see the puzzled face of one of the super market staff. (alright I admit that if it was me who have knocked down things at stores, I could have behaved the same way)

Then, was taking a short rest at McDonald's. There was this lady who was carrying her tray of food back to her table when her cup of soft drink slid off the tray. Another 10.0 landing. This time round it landed in between me and another customer who was eating at her table. That acidic bio-hazardous liquid of lemon tea got me and the customer. Oh well the culprit was fast to forget unfortunate events (as if nothing has happened), and continued back to join her mother at the table (which was just one table in front of me) The mother must be comforting her daughter that at least the burger didn't slide off the tray... Well well, they must be true diehard believers of "sorry-no-cure", that's why didn't even bother apologising and offer tissue or serviette.

I wonder what did their mother's mother do. Or what didn't they do.

Really felt like taking out my penknife or just pull it with my hand. I'm surprised at how busybody some people can be.

I was on bus 151 and got myself a seat. I opened my bag to take out my notes to read. This guy on my left turned his head and was looking INTO my bag while I was pulling out my notes, as if trying to see whether I brought along any Kotex or was it Whisper... I shot him a cold look and with that 0.000001 little shame he looked away.

Feels like my bag got peeped at by a voyeur.

I don't understand why do cats like me... do I smell fishy or whiska-ish or something? Seems like it wanted to seek asylum at my place, but that would be futile, so I just had to deport it to the lift lobby. And guess what? It came back again, lying in the seemingly comfortable position on my carpet. For goodness' sake there are 20 over units along the corridor, why me? This time round it deserved exile to Siberia, so I carried it in my arms, took the stairs, and brought it to the ground floor. (please, people only show off DOGS in their hands, not stray cats, so I didn't take the lift)

Feel like I have just abandoned a baby...

Z Gundam II -- Lovers

Just finished watching the second movie to Z Gundam. Maybe you should read the previous post to know what I'm talking about.

Like I've said, Sunrise re-released Z Gundam by shrinking 50 episodes into 3 movies, very much like what they did for the original Gundam. This time round it's Camille's encounter with Four Murasame on Earth, followed by the battle between Gundam MkII vs Psycho Gundam. Zeta finally arrived as reinforcement to the carrier Argama.

More CG graphics and a bit of new scenes, still fun to revisit the story.

"That others may live", that's the line shown at the start of every episode of Rescue Wings.

Rescue Wings is a very touching Japanese anime revolving around Uchida, a 23 year old pilot just graduated from the air force school. From his high school days he had been dreaming of becoming a fighter jet pilot in the Japan Air Self Defense Force. Sadly he was posted as a helicopter pilot with the Komatsu Air Rescue Squadron flying the UH-60J whereas one of his course mate was posted as a F-15J fighter pilot in the same airbase. At Komatsu, Uchida met a very demanding and nasty superior Hongo. Hongo just took every opportunity to dig out the best out of Uchida. The only people nice to Uchida were the paramedics, who were physically tough and saw every person rescued as a victory in itself. Beside having to cope with his nasty superior, Uchida had to learn to face death in the numerous rescue missions.

I find this drama very meaningful, as it touched on many issues such as ambition, mission, decisions... Being a helicopter pilot in a rescue squadron wasn't what Uchida had wanted, and at first he was half hearted at his job. After seeing how important his task was after natural disaster and one cable car accident in which he was rescued by his own superior Hongo, Uchida finally took pride in his work and strive to improve on his piloting skill. The most dramatic part was in last episode when Hongo in the pilot seat was hit by falling rocks, with a "You have control" he passed the control of 'Helios 78' to Uchida in the co-pilot seat, and from then on Uchida had the whole crew and rescuee's life in his hands. Still, not dramatic enough, but at the ending song could see Uchida finally got himself qualified to take the pilot seat.

I SMSed both Hong Jun and Wei Chuan for lunch. Hong Jun turned up quite promptly, but Wei Chuan still hadn't arrived. After 2 SMSes and no reply, we decided to go ahead to buy our food without him.

When we were halfway eating Wei Chuan arrived, claiming that he didn't receive my SMSes and we didn't reply his, which of course both Hong Jun and I didn't receive. Hong Jun didn't fail to receive my SMS, and both of us failed to receive Wei Chuan's, then it must be Wei Chuan's service provider's problem. (simple logical induction)

1 hour of lunch and 2 hours of lecture, I was on the way home when I finally received Wei Chuan's SMS. "Lunch?" bleh... 3 hours lag!

Everything under the sun means it won't work under roof.

(it is wise to use SingTel if you are in NUS, since the SingTel tower overlooks NUS across the road...)

At this very moment, my next door neighbour is blasting his TV with those craps called Campus Superstar.

I don't get it, why would a school kid waste 60 cents per SMS just to support another school kid, when he/she could have used that money to donate to SPCA, WWF, Salvation Army, or Community Chest? (let's not include NKF for the time being) C'mon, I'll rather spend that 60cents on a nice cup of coffee than to vote for a stranger!! Not as if he/she will treat you drink if he/she wins... or remember your name for the rest of his/her life if and only if he/she becomes famous...

And look at the amount of time spent, can't they use the time to volunteer for community work? Or revise? Hello exam is coming! And I see a bunch of kids in school uniform still in the studio, what the... no school tomorrow ah?
