happy thanksgiving

  • Yes, I got the turkey picture from your blog... But I added in another picture to make it more "original"... Well, if you want me to, I will put also this: "©Chillycraps" underneath the picture...

    Oh well, it strikes me as ironical that when people choose to give thanks to who/whatever they are giving thanks to (God?) and/or celebrate the birth of Christ, they slaughter innocent turkeys... I wonder, no offence to anyone out there, whether people slaughter the turkeys because they are required to do so on these festivals or they just want excuses to eat turkeys...?

    Oh well, I guess Christmas may have become so commercialised (like Valentine's Day with all its expensive roses) that people have forgotten about its original meaning but rather they just think it's another public holiday to shop and admire pretty lights & Christmas trees...

    I read somewhere that it's more like tradition than religion. It's only the yanks who celebrate it I guess.
