sucker

My former boss Steven once told me, "my boss said to me, don't be a sucker, be a f*cker!"
Think it's pretty much like a vacuum cleaner, sucking in everything that comes into its path, both good things and bad things. But how often do you find a diamond inside the vacuum cleaner?

In Chinese it's called 逆来顺受.

That day I SMSed my brother telling him that I would be late for dinner at home. When I reached home I got bombarded by them, saying that I didn't tell them i would be late and everyone waited for me for dinner. Then my brother looked at his handphone and realised that he didn't read a hour-old SMS from me. I didn't talk back. I got scolded for free.

During army days, there's once I got called into the office and was told I would be confined for the weekend. They asked me what offence did I commit, I said nothing. Then they realized they caught the wrong person. I almost got punished for doing nothing wrong.

On the bus or during lectures, people like to kick my seat. I don't like it, but I didn't do anything.

And I feel guilty whenever my friends feel unhappy.

Looks like I'm a good sucker.
(still running for Nobel Peace Prize ok!)

  • if one person take the blame regardless whether he/she is really to be blamed, then the argument or dispute will stop there. Isn't it great to have one person suffer and the whole world happy? It is like rubbish collection point, you just make one location dirty, that's all.

  • But you will have to endure all the rubbish!!!

There will be one point in time where you will not be able to handle it...

Why not take the rubbish and distribute it fairly to the people who litters them in the first place??

Everyone should be held responsible for what they did, not shift the blame...
