quite effective technique

xiao bai told me an interesting story today.

Do you know how they mark QET (Qualifying English Test) paper?
They put the stacks of test paper on the table and blast the fan. Those whose paper dropped to the floor are considered failed.

So if you want the bell curve to spread, just switch the fan to a higher power?

  • hahaha.Yes thats a rumour. There's another story where the teacher will throw the papers in the air and catch. Those that got caught get A. Another story is: the teachers mark one paper from each stack and grade the whole stack accordingly. Lol. Maybe thats how I failed my QET:(

  • one thing for sure is they don't mark every paper. Happens in both NUS and NTU.
