it's Raining Man, Hallelujah...

wow... today went climbing with Wongsan... funny, his parents came along with him for breakfast... dunno whether they still remember me or not (I visited Wongsan's home 3 times..)
Anyway, Wongsan and I started climbing first.... luckily my matriculation card is ready, so I can pay the student rate.... wow today feeling quite good leh, finished white route quite positively and did quite some stepping up with the red tiles.... lane 5 anyway... didn't realize my foot can reach that high up if i want... haha

but pity Wongsan's friend Kai Feng.... he didn't touch the wall at all... rain rain..... but at least his gf cleared once lah....
After that had some fun and mad pool games.... not forgetting the ParaParaParadise machine... hahahaha!!

hmm.. last nite watched "Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc"... really quite sad. At a glance she really looked like a fanatic (sorry..) but... she is a saint.. so....
But it strikes me thinking... is it really, seeing is believing?? Or you choose what you want to see?
Truth..... is truth really that important?? I don't think so.... truth is always hurting...

the thing about MSN (and me)

recently got screwed for what i did on MSN.
First, for a while my nick was "I don't give a dam. I give a reservoir full of care." Then Wee Leong suddenly message me and said LAMER!!!! and blah blah blah..... Suddenly leh!!!

Then... Janan saw my display pic and screamed.. "TMD!! Your hello kitty carries AK".... dot dot dot..... that is the whole point....

And then~! I changed my nick to lyrics of the song Song for Whoever.... "Jennifer, Alison, Phillipa, Sue, Deborah, Annabel, too. I forget your name" and dear Alex thought I had relationship with so many girls... what the.... NO!

But recently feeling very happy over MSN. 'Cos now I'm chatting with an Australian girl.... (uh oh, Edwin you've got spies behind you..) Human beings are funny, on one hand I couldn't take it that the previous MSN girl likes somebody, but now I'm chatting with another one who is liking somebody............... What am I doing......

Why must call Matriculation, and not Registration?

weird leh, they write Matriculation then bracket (Registration). Why don't they just call it Registration??? Or are there so many parts to matriculation that registration is only part 1 of x?? weird bi-pedal creature, always create something out of nothing.....
Anyway, today went to NUS for MATRICULATION (REGISTRATION).... damn it... ok ok.. saw lotsa ppl... secondary sch ppl, JC ppl, army ppl.... yah i did something bad, I let Zhonghua cut queue... oh no i must pray extra tonite....
Actually... poly girls look nicer than Uni girls... cos when I took bus to NUS, must pass by Ngee Ann poly... so.... hahaha... watever, I'm going to transform myself into a nerd... no girls.. no no no... not even a byte of my braincell is reserved for girls....
Okay, shut up, move on.

Volleyball Grand Prix

Recently watched the clip of the recent Volleyball Grand Prix, China vs Japan... was quite an interesting match, China won by 3-0. It was a match of skills vs tactics. Although the Japanese girls are not as tall as the Chinese counterparts, but they persevere with their might, their fighting spirit... in fact the scores were pretty close, 25-23, 25-22, 25-23... so China only won by a close margin for each set.
Personally I like volleyball. I played for my Wing during OCS time. Me and my Torpedo serve was quite scary actually... (giggle giggle)... Anyway, the reason I watched that clip was also wanna heal my heart... ermm... yes trust me when you are sad, you should look at some pretty girls. Not those bikini type, but I like those energetic, sporty type. Number 12 Ai Otomo (大友愛) is really a cute girl!! Standing at 1.83, she is the tallest and seems to be the star of the Japanese team. The camera seems to always pan to her.....
What's more, she is only 1 yr older than me.... well.. it doesn't harm to dream a bit...

Primary 6 gathering...

Ok ok.. it happened on Saturday.. I'm lazy..... or I was tired....... so now then I write about that gathering..
It happened at East Coast, Costa Sands, G04.... ermm... 16 people, barbecue..... what else..... ermm... some of them smoke, some of the impossible couples DID become couples..... ermm.... I was tired.... had a headache.... so I left at 1am... took a cab.... reach home... (hope i didn't spoil their fun)
Well, I must say I'm not that on with them. Firstly I won't stay in a chalet (for goodness' sake I have a home..) Secondly the topic is so different.... I felt kinda out of place...

But nevertheless, just a gathering...

Ectalking is DOWN!!

aw aw aw aw AW!
So sad!! 'Cos Ectalking is down again.....
ok, Ectalking is a Hong Kong forum that I have been hooked onto for a few months... You know what is so special about this forum? It was started by a few high school kids! Yes, and they are still studying in secondary school!! They gotta chip in pocket money, get scolding from mother, etc etc in order to keep the forum up...
The forum is very heartland, majority of the population there is made up of secondary school students, with a few adults here and there such as me~ ho ho......
As commonly seen in most forum, there are those romance section, military section, blog section... Ok the military section is not as popular as other forums, but I still make it a point to regularly post articles there... (so much for being a NSman..)
A lot of the times, people tend to spill out words from the heart in the forum. Tiny words of encouragement mean a lot to them (and I seem to be quite willing to do it) There is this moderator who always add points to me for my words of encouragement to others, and she told me she will deduct my points if I get modest again.... haha what a funny place~
That forum really means a lot to me, cos I share my sad moments with them as well.... so.... maybe you would like to drop by ~?

Business as usual~

sigh sigh.....
Life is back to "normal" since my bro is back... At least he really get some order back into me...
Nowadays besides cooking and etc, I'm learning how to use SolidWorks, a drawing programme, and reading up on Linear Algebra....
Oh of cos, I'm reading Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy as well... hey don't laugh, it is classic literature ok!! And not forgetting my cup of afternoon coffee....... HEEEE

Big Bro is watching.... again.

What to do.....
Brother came back today... which means... less freedom, less liberty... less....everything minus housework, cos now I gotta prepare more food, wash more bowl...... and hang more laundry!!!

Ok la, it also means he can knock some discipline back into me. I won't be able to come online as often, but then I would be "forced" to read up or prepare for semester~! So... not a bad thing totally..... If something can be a 2-sided sword, then a shit can also be 2-sided.... Just like, a glass of water can be half-full, or half-empty.......

Dunno when i can touch the keyboard again....

Nescafe is a CHEAT!

Why do I say that? Look at their 3-in-1 Instant Coffee. They are classified as Mild, Original and Rich. Obviously, Rich will have a thicker aroma than Original since it is supposed to be RICH. And in order to be RICH, you will need more coffee powder.

That's where the problem is. One pack of Original contains 30 sticks, whereas one pack of Rich has 25 sticks. Why the discrepancy? Cos they are selling at more or less the same price. Why would they give u more coffee powder for the same price??

On the other hand, they also have a version called the Intense, which is like 50cents more expensive!!

Wait wait wait I don't get it... on closer look, this is what I found:
Intense 35x18g $4.75
Mild 30x21g $4.74
Regular 40x20g $4.20
Rich 25x24g $4.74

What the hell.... coffee is driving me nuts.....

Pride

Have been watching this Japanese drama these few days. Starring 木村拓哉 as the captain of a hockey team Blue Scorpion.
Minus the part of charm, I find myself quite similar to the role 木村拓哉 plays. I'm equally kpo, always go around listening to people, always trying to put up a tough front but in fact is damn weak inside, and of cos being that temporary lover and getting himself hurt in the end.
I got to say he is a very caring person, cares for his team mates, looks into their personal problem, etc... but did he care for himself? No. Is it really that selfish if ones doesn't share his heart out to others?? Now I'm asking the same question myself... am I selfish cos I only want to see people's hearts but not willing to reveal mine....

Pride is making people so hard to get to..... sigh

Wongsan's Monday Blues... with complementry Lame Zai crap

Why must Wongsan feel so sick of his job?? It is only monday... of cos that makes it the monday blue..
Okay, what little info i gathered is that his computer doesn't like him, so it refuses to identify his HDD. (not Hard DiDi..) And, inside his HDD contains his precious photos~! (of cos, among some "interesting" clips...) Anyway, I think the best he can do now is to wait for the outcome from the shop.. right?
Anyway, I wonder how Wongsan's day will pass when my semester starts.. I won't be at home crapping to him anymore I guess, so... he gotta handle it alone~! Be strong, Wongsan... May the force be with you~!

Last Exile.... and Tatiana-san!!!

Really feel like crying after finished watching Last Exile...
The last part was kinda touching, starting from when Claus' marathon to reach the Exile. Too bad Alex Rowe was dead, but at least he killed Delphine!! The last last scene was super touching! The remnants of the main characters all live under one roof, Claus, Lavi, Alvis, Tatiana, Alistia, and a few kids... I really like Tatiana cos she is so COOL!! If only I can find someone like her in real world..... hoho... dreaming...

First Blood~!

harlo~
This is my first post in Blogger!! All thanks to Wongsan, who 'encouraged' me to sign up for it. This is what I call Customer Care... no no should be Care for Soldier... no no... sharks, I'm crapping in my first post!!

Ok anyway, be prepared for some non-stop boredom. Sit loose, tense up. (how do they sit tight AND relax??)

about

about
chillycraps, studied mechanical engineering at the National University of Singapore (and occasional had lunch at Nanyang Technological University). Enrolled in the Product Design Specialization, his interest includes computer-aided design (CAD), life-cycle analysis (LCA), human factors engineering and design, and new product development (NPD).

Had some short stints in manufacturing and R&D sectors. Was offered a prestigious posting to one of the country's biggest overseas projects, but turned it down and instead, taking up a job least expected - The education service (which is sort-of a product development). He came to a point when they made him decide his fate for the next 4 years. He heard the calling. He is now an engineer in the energy sector.

This blog is a mixed bag of bite-size engineering, design, ideas, daily observations, thoughts, shouts, rants.

You think engineers can't write? I'll prove you right.
